Located just west of downtown Ottawa, Hintonburg is bordered by the O-Train line, Preston Street to the east, the Transitway to the north, and the Queensway to the south. Established as a village in 1893 and named after Joseph Hinton, this neighbourhood is known for its artistic vibe, featuring colourful murals and public art along Wellington and Scott Streets.

While Hintonburg doesn’t have a dedicated off-leash dog park, it offers several green spaces such as Parkdale Park and Hintonburg Park. For longer walks, the Ottawa River Pathway is nearby and perfect for both residents and their pets.

Families can enjoy summer days at the wading pool in Reid Park (40 Reid Avenue) or the splash pad at Hintonburg Park (101 Duhamel Street).
